Hello, I'm Rachael. I am a psychotherapist in based in Brisbane, Australia. I offer individual therapy to adults and children on the autism spectrum in my rooms in Brisbane CBD, and to clients worldwide via Zoom - including adult autism diagnosis.
I have over 12 years’ experience in private practice specialising in treating both adults and children with high functioning autism (HFA), and have authored several books on the subject. I am the founder of Reflective Integration Therapy (RIT) designed for both adults and children with high functioning autism.
As a therapist diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum I stand in solidarity with those whom I help, building a powerful sense of rapport, born of a shared perspective. With over 12 years of experience in private practice working with those on the autism spectrum, you will find yourself in good and safe hands.
My passion is to empower people on the autism spectrum through self-awareness. My therapeutic theory and practice flow out of my 30 year fascination for depth psychology and personal practice of meditation in the Western contemplative tradition.

Reframing autism as an alternative form of consciousness Self-published in Australia 2021 ISBN 978-0-6485344-1-9
Pythiism: Reframing Autism as an Alternative Form of Consciousness is the first new major theory of autism since Leo Kanner and Hans Asperger’s theories of autism were first published in 1943 and 1944, respectively.
Pythiism is a theory rooted in depth psychology that defines autism, not as a consequence of deficits in brain wiring, but as: 'an alternative form of consciousness distinguished as an oscillation of psychic energy between the unconscious and conscious mind informing one’s whole field of perception: cognitive, emotional, social, physical and spiritual.'
